Rubber Stamping Basics
StampingTechniques

You can easily create stunning effects with stamped images.

Chalk Effects- Use clear ink to stamp an image onto paper. Let dry or use a heat tool to dry more quickly.

Using a cotton ball or cotton swab, rub across chalk, then brush across image. The dry ink acts as a resist, so color remains only on unstamped areas. By using coordinating chalk shades, you can create all kinds of variegated color effects.

Bleach stamping - Ordinary chlorine bleach can be used as "ink" to stamp images onto dark cardstock paper. Pour a small amount of bleach into a dish. Using a paintbrush, dip into bleach, then brush onto rubber stamp. Immediately stamp image onto paper. The bleach will react fairly quickly on the paper, bleaching out the image.
