Stamping Techniques For The
Beginner Chalk Effects ~ Use clear ink to stamp an
image onto paper. Let dry or use a heat tool to dry ink more quickly. Using a cotton ball or swab,
rub across chalk, then brush across stamped image.
The dry clear ink acts as a resist, so
color remains only on unstamped areas.
By using coordinating chalk shades, you can create
all kinds of variegated effects.
Bleach Stamping ~ Ordinary chlorine bleach can be used as
"ink" to stamp images onto dark paper.
Pour a small amount of bleach into a dish.
Using a paintbrush, dip into bleach, then brush onto stamp.
Stamp image onto dark paper or
cardstock. The bleach will react fairly quickly on the paper.
