Gardening in the Ozarks

Gardening is the most popular hobby in the world. Gardening options range from a few containers of mixed vegetables or annuals to the master gardener. Every gardener has their own way of presenting themselves to the world through the appearance and techniques they use in their sacred spaces.

Every gardener has their favorite plants they love to grow. I enjoy growing vegetables, tomatoes, peppers and squash. I try a new hybrid of annual every year for fun. Of perennials, my favorites are roses, irises, and daylilies. The varieties are endless and color combinations expanding every year. Annuals are fun to grow. Annual are showy flowers that go through their life cycle in one season. They bring life color and texture to flower beds.

Gardening can be a way to save on the grocery budget and bring your yard alive with color. Gardening provides you an opportunity to get some exercise and fresh air. We all know that exercise is the fountain of youth. Eating fresh veggies you grow yourself is very satisfying and fun.

In this section we will explore many aspects of gardening, such as, containers, permanent beds versus tilling, vegetables, annuals and perennials in flower beds. I hope this section will provide you with great ideas and new methods of gardening to explore.
