I'm an eternal optimist, baby
Because I know the truth:
Everything improves with time
And love is an easy rhyme.

Because the world is better
Things were terrible yesterday
Now you're my lover.

Everyone is healthier
People are living longer
And enjoying life more and more.

No one treated me like you do
My pain no longer hovers
I know it's because of you.
