Sixteen Months

You can wear sixteen months Like a warm coat in the dead of winter
And thank God For life and plenty.

It took that long to come To, "Blessed Be The Refugee"
It took gracious time with Dora To be myself again.

On the outside not much has changed: The negatives rage on
It's a struggle to feel good Knowing death shall not be denied.
But death does not stop time And there's been some of that
To go around And I'm back in town.

I'm here to point the way To a steady May Here to reinforce The quality of life.
