Henggeler

Completes

Advanced Infantry

Training

Anthony S Henggeler Completes AIT

September 15, 2006 - Pvt. Anthony S. Henggeler, of Ravenwood, graduated from advanced individual training (AIT) for the Missouri Army National Guard on Sept. 15, 2006.

Henggeler spent this summer training for his military occupational specialty as a motor transportation operator. "The training was excellent," he stated. "AIT prepared me for my military responsibilities."

Henggeler stated that being trained as a Soldier has helped him grow in many ways. "I have gained leadership, confidence and knowledge about the military," he said.

With his graduation of AIT, Henggeler will complete his participation with the Recruit Sustainment Program and begin monthly drills and training with the Detachment 1 of the 1128th Forward Support Company located in Trenton.

Henggeler is a 2006 graduate of Northeast Nodaway High School. He is the son of Raymond and Dorothy Henggeler of Ravenwood.

Miller

Completes

Advanced Infantry

Training

Timothy W Miller Completes AIT

September 7, 2006 - Pvt. Timothy W. Miller, of Maitland, graduated from advanced individual training (AIT) for the Missouri Army National Guard on Sept. 7, 2006.

Miller spent this summer training for his military occupational specialty as a wheeled vehicle mechanic.  "The training gave me experience with my job skill in combat situations," he stated.  "I learned how important it is to know that I am a part of a team, and that everyone has each others back."

With his graduation of AIT, Miller will complete his participation with the Recruit Sustainment Program and begin monthly drills and training with the Headquarters Battery of the 129th Field Artillery located in Maryville.

Miller's experience with the National Guard and opportunities to assist area recruiters has produces a career path in which he hopes to pursue.  He stated, "I plan to pursue a full-time National Guard position as a recruiter."

Miller is a 2006 graduate of Nodaway-Holt High School. He is the son of John and Debbie Sportsman of Maitland.
